Being one of the most-awaited movies of the year, Veera Di Wedding is in news since its trailer launch. Produced by Ekta and Rhea Kapoor, Shashanka Ghosh directorial Veere Di Wedding is being pitched as the chick flick of the year. On Tuesday, it was the two female producers’ fathers, Anil Kapoor and Jeetendra, who attended the screening for censor certification of the film and the film has been given an A certificate.
The film featuring the newly-married Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania has all the cuss words, abuses and profanities that had shocked the prudes in the film. Now the audiences will hear Sonam and Kareena repeatedly using abusive words. There are also scenes where girls are discussing orgasm and a particularly jolting sequence showing one of the protagonists with a vibrator.
Moreover, there were other CBFC members who were ‘dead against’ letting the four heroines use such language. However, the two proud, protective star-dads seem to have a different mindset. It is said that both Jeetendra and Anil had a heated argument in favour of the colourful language spoken in the film. And finally, the board members agreed to let the language remain as it is and gave the film an ‘A’ certificate.
