The acting skills of Rana Daggubati has perhaps impressed the directors so much that the Baahubali star is getting majority of the offers for the films based on history. His previous two period films, Ghazi and Rudhramadevi have performed well at the box office. Also, the actor is currently busy in filming another period film 1945.
Apart from all of these flicks the actor has been offered another history-based-film, Anizham Thirunal Marthanda Varma. He will be playing the character of Marthanda Varma, one of the most celebrated rulers of Travancore mostly known for the Battle of Colachel in 1741. The ruler is also known for reconstructing the Padmana-bhaswamy temple.
The story is given by Robin Tirumala and the film will be directed by K. Madhu. A source shared over Rana’s view on the film, “When Rana heard the script, he was very excited by it. He has always been interested in folk tales and history and that’s one reason he is very inclined to periodic films.”
With Baahubali, Ghazi and other movies, handsome Rana has proved his worth in the industry. Let’s see how well he performs as the ruler of Travancore. The shooting of the film will begin from 2018.
